About our club

A club that works hard and laughs harder

On October 31, 2001, the Mountain Foothills Rotary club was chartered with two founding principles: serve the Evergreen community, and make sure its members have fun doing so.

Twenty-five years later that's still the deal. We gather each Wednesday evening at Mount Vernon Canyon Club — in person and on Zoom — for good company, a speaker worth hearing, and the work of running some of the foothills' favorite traditions. Read our story →

Things we do

Four ways we create lasting impact

All projects & causes

Evergreen Ice Melt Contest

Our signature winter tradition: guess when the barrel drops through the ice on Evergreen Lake. Every ticket supports local causes, including Resilience1220's counseling for young people in the foothills.

About the contest →

Andy Smith Sr. INSPIRE Golf Tournament

Each July we take over the greens to fund EPRD's INSPIRE program, opening recreation, sports and community to people with special needs in Evergreen and beyond.

Crutches 4 Africa

Together with Crutches 4 Africa, we collect and ship mobility devices — crutches, walkers, wheelchairs — to people who need them across the developing world.

How to donate a device →

Resilience1220

We back Resilience1220's free and low-cost counseling for ages 12–20, because mountain kids deserve mountain-strong support — a beneficiary of Ice Melt proceeds.

Crutches 4 Africa: mobility, delivered by hand

Devices collected here in the foothills are changing lives across the developing world — and the club is collecting again this fall. Here's how the program works and what to donate.

The 4-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do…

1

Is it the truth?

2

Is it fair to all concerned?

3

Will it build goodwill and better friendships?

4

Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

The test Rotarians have applied to their words and actions since 1932.
